An old farmhouse that hadn’t been lived in since the 90’s. A falling down garage. A vacant lot. An idea that had never been tried before…       – A dream.

Before any of us knew there was to be an Arboretum there were a group of people who got together to dream. There were Township Commissioners who were forward thinkers and believed in potential, there was a man who’s grandparents had lived here who saw possibilities, there was a teacher who was willing to take a big risk, and then there were all of their friends, students and fellow dreamers.

They came together and began the job of gutting and tearing down so we would be able to rebuild. They were the first workforce, the first volunteers, the first dreamers. Thanks to all of you!
