So it’s early on a dreary January, Saturday morning, the weather is predicted to be in the low 20’s with snow AND you’re a teenager, who’s just had a full week of school. What do you do? Sprogel’s Run Trail

The Sprogel’s Run Trail connects the eastern end of the Arboretum to Sussel Park with its two ponds. On the western end it connects to Prout Farm Park and its field ecosystem. Sprogel’s Run a small creek run through both Sussel Park and Prout Farm Park. Forest Easter Egg Hunt a great success! Over 150 people attended including our own Easter Bunny! Friends of the Arboretum Meet

The first-ever indoor ‘Friends’ meeting was held this week. More than a dozen friends and neighbors showed up to learn what the Arboretum was about and share ideas of what was possible. Our First Christmas Tree Recycling

8:30am Saturday morning. 10 degrees. Althouse Arboretum, student volunteers arrived.  9am cars and trucks with trees began arriving. Spark the Wave students from Upper Pottsgrove high school and students from Boyertown high school spent from 9am to 3pm unloading Christmas trees and kept moving to stay as warm as they could.
