This is one of my favorite plants!
I was truly amazed by Phlox paniculata ‘Jeana’! I do not plant butterfly bushes as they are not native and they are also invasive. Instead, Phlox paniculata is a wonderful native plant to North America and attracts butterflies all summer. Gorgeous pink blooms, upright and low maintenance— I planted three along my fence. This year I will add more on the other side of the fence so that the neighbors can enjoy them as well. My photos show a visiting Eastern tiger swallowtail. Phlox paniculata will grow 2-4’ tall and 2-3’ wide.
I purchased my Phlox paniculata ‘Jeana’ from Edge of the Woods Native Plant Nursery, 2415 Route 100, Orefield, PA. You can call nurseries ahead of time to ask if they carry ‘Jeana’.
