Itea virginica ‘Henry’s Garnet’

Itea virginica ‘Henry’s Garnet’

Common Name: Virginia sweetspire

I wanted a shrub that would be placed close to the patio but one that we could still see over. Virginia sweetspire will only reach 4 feet in height and spread to a maximum of 6 feet. Currently in bloom, this native shrub will thrive in many conditions and is becoming more popular as a foundation plant for homes. The fall color is red to orange.
