COMMUNITY FARM PLANTING DAY

SAT.  May 4th    9am to 1pm

Help the students get our veggies in the ground!  We will have about 800 plants the need to be placed in our rows.  Come on out to help for an hour or two.   All veggies are harvested for families in need throughout the region.  A big “thank you” to our partner Tower Health at the Pottstown Hospital.

New varieties this year!

If bringing pots to be reused please read our blog first. We appreciate you not bringing pots we have to dispose of. The ones we reuse we wash first in our kitchen sink at home so your thoughtfulness is very much appreciated!

Leave pots next to the greenhouse.

If you have special pots or plant items you’d like us to consider please contact Nancy

For those of you who have been asking for a list, here is a very incomplete list along with plant information.

BIG NEWS!   Publicly announcing for the very first time!

Groundbreaking Ceremony June 2nd, 4pm
Followed by a Community Picnic

For almost two years, the student leadership team has been planning a new building project at the Althouse Arboretum.  Starting this summer, we will be building the new Learning Center and GreenCup Cafe, a 1,000 square foot building to serve as a community meeting space with a small student-run Cafe.  We are looking forward to starting things off with a Groundbreaking Ceremony on June 2nd.  The entire community is invited!

GreenAllies is seeking donations to complete the funding of this project.  Please use the following link to consider making a contribution directly to the construction of the Learning Center and GreenCup Cafe.  Our good friends at Longacre Company will match all donations up to $5,000!!!

Donate here and be a part of our growth!
